My daughter loves Celtic music, so when I saw Celtic Woman was coming to Spokane, we purchased tickets right away for her birthday present. The show was a great combination of slow songs mixed in with more upbeat tempos. Many songs we knew and others were brand new, but the women of the group put on an amazing show. Not to mention the tap dancers, bag-piper, drummers, etc. We had a fun two hours of music. I recommend seeing the group if you ever get the chance.
What I want to write about though is the local theater. The performance was at the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox. We had never been to the theater and found it to be quite nice. Plenty of seating and each seat had a nice view of the stage even us up in the nose bleed section. There is a bar for drinks and snacks if you are so inclined and they set up tables on the second floor as another location to quench your thirst and to make lines shorter.
The staff were kind and helpful anytime we had a question, whether it be where our seats were, or where the bathrooms were. Speaking of bathrooms...The bathrooms were large with plenty of stalls. Any woman who's ever struggled in a long line while waiting for a show can appreciate the fact that a line never really formed. And the bathrooms were clean!
We had a great time that night, and if you get a chance to see a show at the Theater, I recommend it. Honestly, the most difficult part of the night was trying to find parking in Downtown Spokane on the weekend.
So check out the Fox Theater for all variety of performances they have coming up.
I love spending time with my family doing all the wonderful activities in the Inland Northwest.
